The YBG Council are pleased to see the Guernsey border relaxation come into effect on the 1st July 2021. At all times during the pandemic, we have prioritised the health and well-being of our members, a focus that remains paramount as we continue to host events.
As many YBG members may still be awaiting their chance to be fully vaccinated, we are setting out the following policy to protect them and the wider Guernsey community. All event attendees must adhere to this policy effective 1st July 2021.
We also request that you do not attend a YBG event if you have any symptoms associated with Covid-19, as outlined by Public Health, if the event takes place within 2 weeks of your symptoms occurring. This request is regardless of your vaccination status. Anyone attending our events with noticeable COVID-19 symptoms, not attributed to another cause (such as hay fever), will be asked to leave.
If you have travelled off-island, please do not attend a YBG event if you are subject to a passive follow-up.
For our 60th Anniversary Summer Ball in September, we are closely monitoring the guidance from Public Health and the CCA and will communicate any changes or additional precautions specifically for this event in the coming weeks.
