SUMMARY:RIB Tour & Drinks @ Slaughterhouse
DESCRIPTION:Anchors Away! \nWe’ve got two RIBs lined up to take us across to Fermain where we’ll anchor up and enjoy a glass of bubbly before heading back to town for drinks and nibbles at the Slaughterhouse. If you would prefer we contact you by alternative means please do let us know. TOP TIPS: \n\nBoarding point is the Island RIB Voyages van on the Victoria (Crown) Pier (the one with the Boathouse Restaurant).\nThe van is bright orange and easy to spot – photo below to give you an idea of what to look out for.\n\n \n\nArrival no later than 5.45pm for departure promptly at 6pm. SUMMARY:Netwalking - June
DESCRIPTION:The YBG’s new initiative\, ‘Netwalking’ is kick-starting with a lovely stroll around the Saumarez Nature Trail. \nLead by past president\, Nicki Harrison\, join us from the meeting point by Cobo Village car park. From there\, we’ll head down the track alongside the Le Mare De Carteret playing fields and then across the road to the nature trail. \n \nThe loop will take us to the field adjacent to Saumarez park and then back again\, taking about an hour (maybe slightly longer as we natter). \nFeel free to bring along friends or family\, (including the fluffy members of the family) and tag along for part or all of the walk. It’s a great excuse to stop at Cobo Tea Room\, the Rockmount or Grandes Rocque beach afterwards and make the most of what’ll hopefully be a sunny Sunday! \nIf you’d like to come\, please RSVP to ybgsocials@gmail.com with ‘June Netwalking’ and Nicki will add you to the list. \nHow to get there \nThere’s a decent amount of parking and cycling spaces in the cobo area and the 41 bus route stops in the area. Please car share if possible. \nNotes \nFor the walk itself\, please wear comfortable shoes and clothes. While the tracks are easy to walk\, there will be patches of uneven ground and some small inclines. \nKindly note this is an informal chance to walk and talk and we aim to be as inclusive as possible so while it should only take an hour\, we may slow down to accommodate all fitness levels. It’s not an exercise class but participation is still at your own risk.
