What is your current job and how long have you been doing it for?
I am an Executive Assistant for Locate Guernsey and have been here for 10 months.
What does a typical day at the office look like to you?
Every day can be varied which is great! I can be helping the team with relocation enquiries, meeting and greeting enquiries when they visit the island. My main role is to be a support network to the team and I also organise all of our Locate Guernsey events and get involved with some of our Marketing.
If you weren’t doing your current job what would you like to do?
I have never had a firm answer for this sort of question. Whatever career I am in, I always want to be dealing with people. I am a people person! One day I would like to be running my own business.
What was your first job?
I worked in retail at Newlook when I was 16.
How long have you been involved in YBG and what have you got out of being a member?
I think…I have been a member for about 2 years now! I am also on the YBG Council. My main role is to look after our Facebook page and I have recently been appointed as the Social Secretary so will now organise all events for YBG members.
What is your favourite thing to do in Guernsey?
Friends joke about how much I love eating out! But I do, we have a wealth of amazing restaurants on the island. So for me, relaxing at a restaurant in the summer with friends and a glass of pimms is one of my favourite things to do. Or a stroll along the cliff paths, nothing beats those views!
Which three people would you have at your dinner table and why?
My Mums Dad : I never had the pleasure of meeting him but I always hear the best stories, it would have been lovely to have had the chance.
Jamie Oliver: Being a foodie, I love his books .
Michael Mcintyre: One of my favourite comedians, he would be a great person to sit next to!
