What is your current job and how long have you been doing it for?

I run my own business as a Travel Counsellor under the Travel Counsellors franchise. I started on the 10th June 2017 although I started working in the travel industry in 2007.

What does a typical day at the office look like for you?

There is no such thing! Every day is different just like every person I speak to and as a homeworker, my office is anywhere the clients want to meet! Coffee and cake at Jerbourg, a glass of bubbly at Dix Neuf or in the comfort of their own home – just let me know! By being the boss (of me), I set my own sales goals, have to market and network myself and monitor my own accounts and expenditure. I have a lot of support from the 250 staff members at the Travel Counsellors head office but every day brings new challenges and opportunities. My focus is of course helping people with their travel plans. From city breaks and beach stays, family holidays and romantic getaways to authentic tailormade trips around the world – I’m happy to help.

If you weren’t doing your current job what would you like to do?
