Join us for our February YBG event as we welcome Peter Gill for an evening shaped by a lifetime at sea, leadership in maritime safety, and service to the island.

Peter has spent his entire adult life involved in saving lives at sea. His career began with a major oil company before taking him around the world in senior marine project management roles. Along the way, he represented the shipping industry at the International Maritime Organization (IMO), the marine branch of the United Nations, and went on to serve nine years as Guernsey’s Harbourmaster.

Most recently, Peter retired as a Jurat of the Royal Court of Guernsey. He is a Life Governor of the RNLI and continues to play an active role in the management of the Guernsey lifeboat station, a reflection of his long-standing commitment to maritime safety and public service.

Peter will share stories and lessons from a career shaped by leadership, responsibility, and decision-making in high-pressure environments, followed by time to connect and continue the conversation.
